These are published programme rules, not confirmation that every vacancy is open or that you qualify. Reopen the official pages before applying. Hong Kong degree classification is not assumed to be the same across employers.

Write down five different dates
- Course completion. This helps your study planning, but may not be the graduation date used by an employer.
- Graduation or degree-award date. Use the document named in the announcement.
- When you can obtain the certificate. An award date within the window does not ensure you can meet an original-document deadline.
- Qualification-verification completion. This is separate from the award date and must not replace it.
- Earliest full-time start. Include dissertation, visa and relocation arrangements; do not assume immediate availability.
Three teaching scenarios
These examples explain the method; they are not real client cases or employer decisions.
- A Hong Kong master’s student expecting a degree in August 2027 falls within Tencent Music’s published month range, but beyond Bank of China’s overseas range if that classification applies. Other requirements still need checking.
- A graduate with an overseas degree awarded in December 2026 and subsequent full-time employment may fit a date window, but Bank of China’s first-employment condition raises a separate question. Disclose the real employment history.
- A student who has completed classes but cannot obtain the required original certificate until after July 2027 must check both the award date and the document/start deadlines. Ask whether temporary documents and later submission are accepted.
Prepare materials by stage
- Before applying: a targeted CV, accurate school/degree/subject details, expected or actual dates, contact details and evidence for relevant projects. Follow the employer’s required language and file format.
- At an eligibility boundary: the school’s official date explanation, an available enrolment letter or transcript, and a written question about alternative documents.
- Tests and interviews: the formal invitation, requested identity checks and your own project explanations. Language scores or recommendation letters are not universally required.
- Offer and joining: certificates, qualification verification where required and confirmed availability. A joining requirement is not automatically an initial-application requirement at every company.
A question you can send to the employer
I plan to apply to [programme/year/job ID]. I study [degree/subject] at [school/location]. My expected award date is [date], my certificate should be available on [date], and I can start full-time work on [date]. My employment after graduation is [accurate description]. Do I meet this programme’s graduation and employment conditions? If [document] is not yet available, can I submit [existing proof], and when must I provide the final document?
Keep the programme URL, inquiry date and written response. Share only the information needed to establish eligibility, rather than unsolicited identity-document scans.

Questions
Does a Hong Kong master’s degree allow a fixed number of recruitment rounds?
No universal number applies. Each batch has its own dates, employment conditions and materials. Eligibility for one batch does not establish eligibility for the next.
Does a social-insurance record automatically exclude me?
No universal conclusion follows. Disclose the actual employment relationship and check the specific programme rules or the employer’s written clarification.
Can I apply before receiving my degree certificate?
Only if that programme permits the relevant application or later-document arrangement. Distinguish expected award, award date and actual certificate availability.
